Remuneration of technicians, administrative staff, IT staff and librarians

Professional staff are offered the salary as per the current national collective bargaining agreement (CCNL) and by the supplementary collective bargaining agreement (CCIL).

Professional staff remuneration consists of the basic salary, variable salary and other elements, provided for by national law or internal regulations, which may vary from year to year.

Operators' Area (former Category B)

The estimated gross annual salary is EUR 24,172.74.

The figures represent an estimate of the remuneration of staff in the Operators' Area, economic progression 0, on a full-time basis of 36 hours per week.

Gross amounts for employees include retirement and social security deductions and taxes.

  • EUR 450.74 gross per year: Organisational Performance incentive IPO (maximum value paid for category B in 2023, relative to the year 2022, considering ordinary full-time service; it is paid the year after the reference year)

Other remuneration

EUR 871 gross per year: Common Fund provided for in the Regulations governing services provided to third parties (maximum amount paid for category B in 2023 out of the Common Fund 2022; paid in the year following the reference year)

Horizontal salary increases - PEO

Salary advances of EUR 1,200 gross per annum each are envisaged on the basis of selective procedures at regular intervals. More details will be available when the PEO 2024 is announced.

Liability allowance 

Professional staff holding formally assigned positions of responsibility are entitled to specific allowances.

The University of Bologna is applying the new collective bargaining contract and is currently updating the regulation of positions of responsibility.

Collaborators' Area (former Category C)

The estimated gross annual salary is EUR 27,783.39.

The figures represent an estimate of the remuneration of staff in the Collaborators' Area, economic progression 0, on a full-time basis of 36 hours per week.

For staff in Highly Professional Areas, the liability allowance is composed of the position salary (comprising the minimum position remuneration of EUR 3,099.00 gross per annum, to which the position remuneration correlated to one of the three bands is added - up to max. EUR 18,000) and the results-based salary (equal to 10% of the amount due as position remuneration, paid following positive verification of results), in the amounts provided for by the last Supplementary collective bargaining agreement - CCIL.

Horizontal salary increases - PEO

Salary advances of EUR 2,200 gross per annum each are envisaged on the basis of selective procedures at regular intervals. More details will be available when the PEO 2024 is announced.

The gross salary amounts are inclusive of the contractual holiday allowance.

The results-based salary is paid after verification of the degree of achievement of the set objectives, for not less than 20% of the total position remuneration and within the limits of the variable salary fund for managers.
