- Corso: Single cycle degree programme (LMCU) in Primary teacher education (cod. 8540)
Learning outcomes
Ability of analysing a problem:
- a priori analysis, concerning the mathematical and linguistic structure of a task;
- a posteriori analysis, concerning solutions produced by students.
Course contents
Teaching by problem-solving is presented as a main tool for mathematics education. We introduce the difference between problems and excercises by reffering to the national curriculum of 2012. A laboratory methodology is realized through proposing, discussing and analysing of non-standard problems.
Readings/Bibliography

Teaching methods
We propose the analysis and discussion of several problems. This is realized both in small groups activity and through collective discussions.
We realize the different phases of the analysis of a problem, both a a priori and a posteriori.Assessment methods
Each student must produce a personal work of analysis of a problem and its solution. The problem is proposed by the professor. Such work must be realized individually by following the task that is given by the professor. The evaluation of the work will contribute to the final mark of the classes of "Didattica della matematica con elementi di statistica".
