Andrea Maffia

PhD in Mathematics Education, his main research interests concern the teaching/learning of arithmetic in primary school with a specific focus on semiotic aspects invoved in those processes. He works on teacher (pre-service and inservice) education.

Since 2023 he is co-leading, together with Prof. Bruno D'Amore, the "gruppo di Ricerca e Sperimentazione in Didattica e Divulgazione della Matematica" (group for research and experiments in mathematics education and communcation) od the Department of Mathematics of the University of Bologna.
