Conoscenze e abilità da conseguire
By the end of the course, students will: - understand the main exploratory theories in Work Psychology; - be able to analyze different work aspects and their consequences on the work life.
Contenuti
The course examines in depth the themes of Work Psychology, explaining the theoretical, research and professional aspects that characterize the discipline. Specifically, it aims to develop knowledge and skills on the following areas:
- Job analysis and design
- Work motivation
- Job attitudes and emotions
- Stress and occupational health psychology
- Hot Topics in Work Psychology, and COVID-related challenges
- Humanization and work ethics

Metodi didattici
The teaching methods used for the course are: lessons, case analysis and discussions, practitioners' reports, individual and group assignments, simulations, presentations of assignments.
The course is designed to be very interactive, based on students’ active participation. Therefore, students are requested to attend systematically all the lectures. Exchange students, aiming to choose this course for their learning agreement, should carefully consider – in their own interest – that they are requested to attend the full course.
Modalità di verifica e valutazione dell'apprendimento
The exam aims to verify the achievement of the following learning goals:
- deep knowledge of different theories and approaches of Work Psychology;
- being able to apply the acquired knowledge to analyze and interpret work/organizational cases and phenomena;
- being able to apply the acquired knowledge to realize and design work/organizational interventions.
The grading will be given on a 30-point scale.
