Assessment methods

Two steps:

- recognition test

- multiple choice quiz

The recognition test is propedeutic to access the final exam (multiple choice quiz).

- Recognition test: students have to identify at least 6 species out of 7 different pictures of plants and seeds. You have to pass the recognition test only one time; once it is passed, you don’t need to repeat it even in the case of a negative evaluation (so to repeat it) of the multiple choice quiz.

- Multiple choice quiz: 25 questions to be filled within 30 min max (you can close it before if you are able to complete it earlier). All the questions have the same evaluation score (1,28); a wrong answer will give a penality of - 0.64 (50% of the score); no answer = 0, so no penality. For example, 20 corrected answers + 3 wrong answers + 2 questions without answers generate a grade of 23.68 (22*1.28-3*0.66-2*0), whereas 22 corrected answers and 3 questions without answers will give 28.16. 30 corrected answers = 30 cum laude

Students may reject the grade by sending an email to a.monti@unibo.it within 3 days from the publication of results with in object 'reject exam CE dd/mm/yy'. Don’t send emails if you're happy with your evaluation.

Only the students signed up at ‘Almaesami’ are allowed to access the test and quiz.
