My academic career began with a strong interest in improving agricultural systems through advanced modeling techniques. During my PhD, I used CROPSYST to simulate crop growth, yield, and sustainability under various environmental conditions, gaining a solid foundation in biophysical modeling. Over seven years of research, I explored intercropping, crop rotations, soil organic carbon (SOC) dynamics, and advanced biofuels value chain development, aiming to promote sustainable agricultural practices. By analyzing different cropping combinations, I identified strategies to enhance soil health, increase productivity, and reduce environmental impact.
