Conoscenze e abilità da conseguire

The course will help students build the necessary research skills in a cutting-edge area of finance that is increasingly becoming important for business and financial institutions around the world. On successful completion of the course, a student should be able to demonstrate the ability to: • Analyse the potential risks and opportunities of environmental trends for financial markets;  Have an in-depth understanding of the main issues in climate and sustainable finance;  Explain the range of financial policy instruments and financial contracts and their potential in driving a global transition and aligning capital markets with climate and sustainability goals.

Lectures & seminars/classes. Assessment during onsite lectures. One flipped classroom.

Modalità di verifica e valutazione dell'apprendimento

The assessment method is based on the evaluation of a written test for the individual preparation. Students are expected to answer up to ten questions, including multiple-choice, true-false, or short answers. A mock exam as a sample will be provided before end of lectures. Students are expected to know the basic quantitative methods discussed during lectures and to critically discern the limitations of the methods employed in the analysis.  Assessment during onsite lectures (consisting of project & a flipped classroom) is also considered.

The maximum possible score is 30 cum laude, in case all anwers are correct, complete and formally rigorous and the other assessment activities above were positive.

The grade is graduated as follows:

<18 failed
18-23 sufficient
24-27 good
28-30 very good
30 e lode excellent

Additional information on the assessment method will be discussed during the first lecture.
