Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, students have good actives and passives skills in French language ; they are able to read, take notes, follow a discussion in french and in particular to use the politic and media technical language of the French cultures.
Course contents
Title of the course: Le discours politique de la Francophonie
Program of the course :
Part 1 : history and main structures of the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie as a political organization. Part 2: elements of discourse analysis and main features of the politic discourse concerning or product by Francophonie.

Assessment methods
Final test for attending students:
Multiple answer test. 15 question (1 question = 2 grades). 7 question on history of Francophonie and 8 question on political discourse analysis. Final grade will be averaged with the grade of the “Esercitazioni linguistiche” held by Dr. Isabelle Mauny (isabelle.mauny@unibo.it [mailto:isabelle.mauny@unibo.it] ).
Final test for non-attending students:
1) written test (40 minutes) on the following grammar topics: Articles (Indefinite Articles; Definite Articles; Partitive Articles ; « articles contractés » ; Article Omission); Noun and Adjectives Gender and Number; Pronouns (Subject ; Impersonal Subjects ; Object ; Object Pronoun Order; Relative Pronouns; C’est vs. Il est); Demonstrative (Pronoun and Adjective); Possessive (Pronoun and Adjective); Indefinite (Pronoun and Adjective); Interrogative (Pronoun and Adjective) ; Adverbs (“très, beaucoup et beaucoup de”); Comparisons; Negation; Questions; “Gallicismes”; Verbs: the passive voice; impersonal verbs; pronominal verbs; Verbs: Conjugations.
2) oral test: language assessment (lecturer) + monographic part (teacher) on Serge Arnaud, Michel Guillou et Albert Salon, Les Défis de la francophonie , Paris, Alpharès, 2002, 255 pages.
