Learning outcomes

At the end of the seminar (activity strictly pertinent with the objectives of the Degree Programme) the student gains skills and specific knowledge of the Fashion field.

Course contents

The seminar focuses on aspects of Organizational Psychology which are useful to understand organizational behavior and to manage in a more thoughtful and competent manner – from a psychosocial perspective – modern working life. The meetings will cover the following macroareas:

-Latent functions of work

-Careers

-Personnel selection and assessment

-Work motivation

-Personality at work

-Leadership and social power

-Well-being and unwell-being at work

-Safety at work

The metings will start with a introductory presentation made by the lecturer, followed by exercises, simulations, and discussions during which students will be asked to take an active role.

Readings/Bibliography

Slides of the meetings made available at the beginning of the course. Additionally, tests and exercises provided by the lecturer. Such material is sufficient for passing the course.   

Teaching methods

Presentations made by the lecturer, in group discussions, case studies, and self-assessment exercises.

Assessment methods

Students are asked to attend at least 24 hours and to participate actively to the different activities proposed by the lecturer during the attended meetings.

Teaching tools

Powerpoint slides and additional material (tests, videos) made available by the lecturer through Virtuale.
