Learning outcomes
At the end of the training activities, the student possesses knowledge regarding the methods of data collection, according to a nursing model, useful for identifying the patient's clinical care problems.
Course contents
at the end of the teaching activity the student will be able to carry out the NURSING ASSESSMENT according to the GORDON MODEL "functional models of health"
the topics covered are:
- describe the purposes and characteristics of the nursing process;
- define the meaning of critical thinking;
- define the assessment phase in the nursing process;
- relate the assessment phase to the other phases of the nursing process;
- describe the data collection process and methods;
- collect subjective data: the interview;
- collect objective data: physical examination;
- explain how the collected data should be validated;
- compile and use the rating scales completely;
- carry out an overall assessment of the state of health;
- apply critical thinking standards to assessment activities;
