Learning outcomes

Preparatory activity for the thesis. Preparation through bibliographic investigations, acquisition of the methodological, conceptual, operational and instrumental infrastructure suitable for setting up the subsequent drafting of the final thesis.

Course contents

The activity is complementary to carrying out a degree thesis. It is therefore available to students who are in this phase of their educational path and for whom it is foreseen in the study plan. The specific contents of the activity are defined in agreement with a teacher. The Thesis Laboratory activity is in fact carried out under the supervision of a teacher (academic tutor), who coincides with the thesis supervisor for the final exam of the Course of Studies (thesis). Once the supervisor has been identified, the student must send a communication of the start of the activity to the Coordinator and to his/her tutor/supervisor. The registration of credits for the final test laboratory takes place after registering for an exam on AlmaEsami. As a rule, an appeal will be guaranteed one week before the deadline for satisfying the requirements, as set for each graduation appeal. It is possible to register for any available session starting from the conclusion date of the thesis laboratory activity. By the date for which the exam is scheduled, the candidate must send an end-of-activity report to the Coordinator and to their tutor/supervisor. The tutor/rapporteur's signature on the report can be replaced by an email sent to the Coordinator in which the tutor: i) approve the report presented ii) certifies that the student has completed the minimum hours required for the activity (6 ECTS = 150 h) The evaluation takes place in the first instance on the basis of the documents presented and the presence of the student is therefore not required. In the case of unapproved reports, candidates may be called to attend an oral interview, at the end of which an addition to the report may be requested.
