Lisa Borgatti is Full Professor of Engineering Geology at the Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna. She graduated with honors in Geological Sciences from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia in 2000 and earned a PhD in 2004. Her research focuses on landslide hazard and risk, with attention to triggering factors, engineering-geological and geomorphological characterization, monitoring, numerical modeling, and mitigation. She is author of over 110 publications (about 80 indexed in Scopus), guest editor of special issues, and reviewer for international journals. She collaborates with research institutes in Italy and abroad, and is associate of the CNR Institute for Hydrogeological Protection (IRPI). She has served on the boards of AIGA and IAEG.
