Learning outcomes

At the end of the course students will know the general and essential aspects of physiopathology specifically related to the the surgical approach to medical practice. On the basis of the knowledge acquired, students will be familiar with the methodological principles that will allow them to identify all the features of surgical interest and the pathophysiological reasons underlying it. The student will also be able to deal correctly and independently with the semiological approach to the surgical patient using the principles of objective evaluation and the physical approach in relation to the knowledge of investigation procedures typical of clinical methodology. The integration between the knowledge of clinical pathophysiology and surgical semeiotics makes the student able to understand and face the elementary basis of diseases in a preparatory way for the future development of the course of study.
