Learning outcomes

At the end of the module the student is familiar with the main nursing care delivery models in different care settings. He/She identifies the main competences of other members of the nursing team and relates them to his/her own competences. He/She identifies the organizational principles of continuity of care, roles and system of responsibilities using the clinical governance approach.

Ministerial Decree No. 77/2022 Regulation defining models and standards for the development of territorial care in the Italian National Health Service.

Training goals

The student has to achieve these goals:

1. To know and be able to identify the main models of nursing care management and the different organizational possibilities which can affect the quality of the nursing process.

2. To acquire knowledge about the governance and outcome of health professions.

3. To know the responsibility in the management and use of the main information tools: nursing record and rating scales.

4. To know the nursing organisation.

5. To know the contractual and management aspects.

Program/Course work

1. The hospital and territorial health organisation.

2. The organization of Ausl Romagna: the Nursing/Technical Management

3. Outlines of accreditation/certification.

4. The functional and professional care organization models, such as: case management, CCM, primary nursing, model by intensity/complexity of care.

5. Intermediate care, Health Homes, Primary Care Units.

6. Social Health integration.

7. The components of organizational models of nursing care: roles and functions, tools for integration, methods and instruments for measuring intensity and complexity of care.

8. Main aspects of the CCNL in the light of the new regulatory aspects.

9. The concept of professional competence and supporting tools; the pathway of the newly recruited nurse.

10. The employment relationship in the public service: access to public fixed-term and permanent employment, the disciplinary responsibility, the evaluation.

11. The employment relationship and the main regulatory aspects of working time.

12. Continuous training: the State/Regions Agreement Year 2017.
