Course contents

The main objective of this activity is to strengthen practical skills related to the concepts and theories learnt during the main courses offered by the degree. In particular, this lab activity will concentrate on the analysis of some documents, essays and materials concerning the relationship between gender and international politics. Specifically, it will be analyzed and commented some articles and documents on women transnational movements, the dilemma between peace and war, the role of the international conferences and organizations, women's rights as human rights, women labor and globalization.

At the end of the activity the student will be able to understand the political language and political categories used in the international conversation on gender and international politics and to present their reflections in written and oral form.

The articles selected for the lab activity will be available in pdf format at the beginning of the course. Please, check the AMS Campus Platform.

Teaching methods

Reading and analysis of the selected articles and documents; seminarial work

Assessment methods

Assessment will be based on presentation in class, short written comments and on overall class participation.

Students are required to attend the course. They could not skip more than one class.
