Raffaella Baritono

Full Professor of U.S. History at the School of Political Science of the University of Bologna, from 2005-on. She has been one of the founders and former director of the Interuniversity Center of Euro-American History and Politics (CISPEA). She is member of the steering committees of the journals  ‘Ricerche di Storia Politica’ (and former co-director), ‘Scienza & Politica’, and ‘Il Mulino’. She was former vice-president of the Italian Association of North-American Studies (AISNA) and former president of the Italian Society of Women Historians. She is also former member of the steering board of the Italian Society for International History (SISI). She is the director of LAB-USA, Center on American Studies. She is member of the steering committee of the Associazione Il Mulino. She has published extensively on American political history, on women’s movement and women political culture.
