Learning outcomes
The main target is investigating and knowing the anatomical structure of corporeal districts involved as risk factors in employment.
Course contents
An introduction to Anatomy: levels of organization, an introduction to organ systems and language of Anatomy. Link between function and anatomical structure. The neuron.
The Nervous System
The brain and cranial nerves. The cord and spinal nerves. Sensory and motor tracts of the spinal cord.
Autonomic Nervous System.
General and special senses: receptors, eye, ear.
The tegumentary system
The epidermis, the dermis and accessory structures (hair, nails and glands)
The skeletal system
Bones and joints classification
Axial division (cranium and vertebral column)
Appendicular division: the pectoral girdle and upper limb; the pelvic girdle and the lower limb
Articular forms and functions
Anatomy of skeletal muscles; sarcomere organization. Names of skeletal muscles
The cardiovascular system
The blood, the heart, vessels and circulation: the pulmonary and the systemic circuit
The lymphoid system organization; spleen and lymph nodes anatomical structure.
The respiratory system
The upper and the lower respiratory system. The lungs and pulmonary bronchi
The urinary system
The kidneys and structures for urine transport, storage and elimination.
The digestive system
An overview of digestive system. The oral cavity, the phariynx, the esophagus, the stomach, the small intestine, the large intestine. Accessory glandular digestive organs: the liver, the pancreas and gallbladder
The endocrine system
An overview of the endocrine system and anatomical structure of hypophysis, thyroid, parathyroid glands, suprarenal glands and pancreas.
Anatomy of the female and of the male reproductive system
