Learning outcomes

Students learn the standard topics of Arabic language.

Comprehension of written and spoken Modern Arabic.

Usage of modern Arabic grammar more than traditional grammatical methodology.

Course contents

The comparative and superlative and their uses. Adjectives of colour. Numerals. Further details and peculiarities on the noun. The passive mood: indicative, subjunctive and apocope. The imperative of simple and derivative verbs. The relative clause. The passive of simple and derivative verbs. The present and past participle. Quadrilateral, irregular and defective verbs. Advanced syntax.
