Admission requirements

Admission to the 1st cycle degree programme in Applied Pharmaceutical Sciences is subject to the possession of a five-year secondary school diploma or equivalent suitable qualification obtained abroad, or a four-year secondary school diploma and diploma for the relative supplementary year, or, where no longer running, will be assigned additional learning requirements. Applicants shall also possess knowledge and competences in basic Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The degree programme has restricted access, according to the available resources. The number of places and selection methods are published annually in the relative call for applications. Admission to the fixed number degree programme is subject to demonstration of the required knowledge and skills, by passing the entrance exam with the minimum score indicated in the call for applications. Candidates not obtaining at least the required score will be individually assigned Additional Learning Requirements (OFA). The additional learning requirements shall be deemed to have been completed by passing a specific exam, held on the days indicated in the call for applications, or when the students pass the exam in Animal and Plant Biology. This exam must be passed by the date set by the Academic Bodies and published on the University portal. Students not complying with the additional learning requirement shall be obliged to enrol in the first year of the study programme again. If the number of applications received in the manner indicated in the call for applications, or the number of candidates present at the entrance exam, is equal to or less than the number of available places, applicants in the following conditions will be exempted from the entrance exam:

• students opting from degree programmes in class 24-Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technologies;

• students opting from the degree programme in Applied Pharmaceutical Sciences under the previous degree system;
• students with a degree in one of the following classes: ex Italian Ministerial Decree no. 270: Class L-2 Biotechnologies, Class L-13 Biological Sciences, Class L-27 Chemical Sciences and Technologies, Class L-29 Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technologies, Class LM- 13 Pharmacy and Industrial Pharmacy, Class LM-41 Medicine and Surgery;
• students with a degree in one of the following classes: ex Italian Ministerial Decree no. 509/99: Class 1- Biotechnologies, Class 12- Biological Sciences, Class 21 - Chemical Sciences and Technologies, Class 24-Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technologies, Class 14/S Pharmacy and Industrial Pharmacy, Class 46/S Medicine and Surgery;
• students with a degree from the previous degree system under D. M. 509/99 in: Biotechnologies, Biological Sciences, Pharmacy, Chemistry and Pharmaceutical technology, Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Medicine and Surgery;
• students transferring from degree programmes in one of the following classes:ex Italian Ministerial Decree no. 270: Class L-2 Biotechnologies, Class L-13 Biological Sciences, Class L-27 Chemical Sciences and Technologies, Class L-29 Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technologies, Class LM- 13 Pharmacy and Industrial Pharmacy, Class LM- 41 Medicine and Surgery;ex Italian Ministerial Decree no. 509/99: Class 1- Biotechnologies, Class 12- Biological Sciences, Class 21 - Chemical Sciences and Technologies, Class 24-Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technologies, Class 14/S Pharmacy and Industrial Pharmacy, Class 46/S Medicine and Surgery; who have earned CFU in one or more of the following subject areas: FIS/01-FIS/08, MAT/01-MAT/09, CHIM/03, BIO/05, BIO/09-BIO/16.
