Barbara Luppi

Associate Professor working within the CHEM-08/A scientific-disciplinary sector (Technology, Socioeconomics, and Regulation of Medicines and Health Products). Her research activities are primarily focused on the field of drug delivery. Her research interests are specifically directed toward optimizing the topical delivery (both transmucosal and cutaneous) of active substances with critical biopharmaceutical properties, as well as the administration of natural extracts, health-promoting bacteria, and their active metabolites. She is the author of numerous publications in international scientific journals, book chapters, and patents, and collaborates actively with several national and international research groups.
