Contenuti
The Professional Design Lab offers students an experiential path to better understand the dynamics of today’s job market while reflecting on their own identity, values, and aspirations. The course combines insights on organizational culture, employability, and lifelong learning with highly practical tools such as CV design, interview preparation, and personal branding. Through interactive exercises, peer exchange, and the contribution of guest speakers from leading companies, participants learn how to recognize their strengths, express their value, and approach recruitment processes with confidence. Attention is also given to teamwork and networking, encouraging students to view their career as a search for a job and as a process of building personal and professional value over time. In addition, the course provides insights about international graduate school applications, offering students an understanding of admission processes of leading institutions and practical activities about how to build the key components, such as personal statements, certifications, and recommendation letters, for the application procedures.

Modalità di verifica e valutazione dell'apprendimento
Two modes of assessment are provided:
1) Students who are able to regularly attend classes, guest speaker sessions, and the assigned group work will receive a score that contributes to the overall evaluation. This score will be averaged with the result of the final exam.
2) Students who, for personal or organizational reasons, cannot actively participate in the laboratory will be assessed exclusively on the basis of the final exam.
The outcome of the course is expressed as pass/fail: it will be considered passed if the final exam (and, for attending students, the average with the activities carried out) reaches the passing threshold; otherwise, the course will be considered not passed.
