Contenuti
The program of the open lectures will be regularly published on the Faculty and MIREES web sites, since it is based on a multiple offer of meetings with outstanding scholars, officials, policy makers and diplomats. Speakers are invited to attend MIREES open lectures as an additional educational offer of the Programme. The aim is to complete the programme by encouraging students to deepen their knowledge and discuss issues of current events, or new methodologies, or one specific thematic issue with a peculiar relevance in East European Studies.
Metodi didattici
According to the different scholars or speakers invited, the methodology of these meetings may vary in quality and structure. Basically, however, speakers will spend 40-50 minutes for their presentation, followed by a discussion with the students. The program is designed to give additional focus on current relevant topics, as well as to encourage students to learn flexibility in methods, taking into consideration the different background of the invited speakers and their different approach in understanding and presenting the choosen topic.
Modalità di verifica e valutazione dell'apprendimento
MIREES students are expected to write a comparative essay of 2.500 words by 19th June 2009. The essay should encompasse a comparative analysis of at least 3 topics discussed during the open lectures, at students' choice.
