Learning outcomes

This seminar is aimed at introducing students to the topics which the Pax Moot competition deals with (transnational litigation at the European level). At the end of the seminar, students will have a basic understanding of the main subject matters necessary to take part in the competition and they will be able to decide whether to apply to participate in the competition.

Course contents

As the Pax Moot website recites, the PAX Moot Court is a specialized moot court competition focused on Transnational Law and Private International Law issues. In this competition, participants will be able to learn and apply first-hand the complexities and nuances of how international Conventions and EU Regulations interact in the context of globalization.

Materials will be made available in class

Teaching methods

The seminar will have a theoretical and practical approach, in order to stimulate the discussion with and among the students.


Some European and international uniform regulations will be analyzed and judicial cases will be discussed.


Participation in the lessons is mandatory.


The lessons will be in English.

Assessment methods

There is no final exam, but the seminar can be passed only by active participation in class.
