Course contents

The educational potential of unstructured materials

The main purpose of the laboratory is to encourage the students in the growth and development of a serene, curious and aware attitude towards unstructured materials in education. The proposal provides for alternating visits to Projects that support the theme in relation to services for children and schools with classroom meetings in which to actively experiment with explorations. We will carry out a laboratory at the REMIDA Center in Calderara and another at LA BORSA DI BO in via Battirame.

On the one hand, the student will have the opportunity to interact directly with unconventional materials by building his own relationship with them and to ask himself about the actions, teaching methods and the most appropriate tools to support, in the daily reality within the services, the natural propensity of children to interact with unstructured contexts and materials by intentionally supporting learning processes.

Key words: unstructured materials, design, exploration, autonomy, trust.

Directions on how to reach places will be provided during the first lesson and student insurance coverage will be extended.
