Course contents

Second Cycle Degree students in Italian Studies, European Literary Cultures, Linguistics are required to enroll in the Laboratory by accessing the "Insegnamenti OnLine" platform. Signing the frequency register at each meeting is also mandatory.

 

The Laboratory consists of 12 afternoon meetings of two and a half hours each, held at the Aula Pascoli (Via Zamboni 32) on Wednesdays, 4.00pm - 6.30pm, starting on February 5th 2020.

 

The Laboratory, which includes meetings with different teachers of the subject, is divided into two modules.

1) Myth and parody, alienation and estrangement.

2) Criticism and poetry: new frontiers of text analysis.

 

Any minor changes relating to the calendar of meetings (available in "Teachings Online" by December 2019) will be promptly communicated to the "Notices" section of Francesco Carbognin's unibo website.

For a historical-critical overview of the topics covered, reading the following books is recommended:

  • F. Carbognin, Retorica e sintassi nella poesia italiana del Novecento. Da Pascoli e d’Annunzio agli esiti di fine secolo, nuova edizione, Lecce, Manni, 2019.

Before each meeting, students are invited to check the availability of educational material at the dedicated "Teachings OnLine" space.

Teaching methods

Meetings with Professors from the Department and from other Italian and foreign universities.

Assessment methods

Second Cycle Degree students in Italian Studies, European Literary Cultures, Linguistics, will be requested to compose a short essay (no more than 3 pages) upon a specific topic related to the course programme. The documented frequency at 10 out of 12 meetings and the preparation of the report entitle you to 6 credits.

The signatures will be collected by the teacher at the beginning of each meeting.

The written report must be presented in paper format (according to the model deposited in the teaching material) and delivered at least 10 days before each appeal at the information point in Via Zamboni 32 (ground floor), addressed to Prof. Francesco Carbognin; alternatively, it can be delivered by hand during office hours, indicated on the home page of the teaching website.

Attendance will be recorded, upon registration, starting in May 2020.
