Learning outcomes


  • Principal theoretical models concerning communication;
  • Elements and functions of communication, as well as, its limits, pitfalls, block paradoxes;
  • Elements and functions of non-verbal communication;
  • Communication and educational relation;
  • Educational relation and its “traps”; overcoming the analysis “here and now” of communication and recognition of plural influences (conditioning) of extended contexts;
  • Communication and complex society.

Course contents


The course will focus on communicative and relational competence, as the essential instrument of educational professionals who work in extra-school contexts. On the basis of the principal theoretical models of verbal and non-verbal communication, and teamwork, students will be taught methods of research, analysis and improvement of relations in different educational contexts underlining the importance of listening and observing.

Teaching methods

A variety of didactic methods will be applied during the lessons: lectures with students participation, teamwork on the topics discussed during the course, role play on professional practice.
