Learning outcomes

The course deals with conceptual frameworks to understand and compare the social and  health dimensions of health, long term and aged care systems in a number of countries.  A number of case studies are presented focusing on international case studies and best practices.

Per l'anno accademico 2017-18, il primo blocco di lezioni sara' tra il 26 febbraio 2018 e il 16 marzo 2018.

Il secondo blocco (anche questo della durata complessiva approssimativamente di 3 settimane) sara' discusso in classe e annunciato a breve.

For the academic year 2017-18, the first block of lectures will be between the 26th of February 2018 and the 16th of March 2018.

The second block (also of approximately three weeks) will be discussed in class and announced in due course.

Assessment methods

The exam consists of a presentation (40%) and a written paper (60%) in order to verify the ability of students to understand the theory and practice of comparative frameworks to analyse typical problems of social and health care systems. Students can discuss in class the topic for both the presentation and the paper.
