Conoscenze e abilità da conseguire

By the end of the course, the student will have learned to look at cultural heritage from a critical perspective, as a discursive object and as a semiotic process. By combining analytical tools from narrative-discursive, cultural and spatial semiotics, the student will acquire tools that enable him/her to critically analyze urban spaces, landscapes and museums as places of expression of cultural heritage.

Contenuti

Il corso mira a definire una prospettiva semiotica per lo studio del Cultural Heritage e dei suoi processi di costruzione, traduzione, negoziazione e trasmissione. In una prospettiva di semiotica del discorso e di semiotica della cultura, il Cultural Heritage verrà considerato come un costrutto semiotico situato all’intersezione di molteplici domini discorsivi e orientato alla produzione di un paesaggio mnestico comune, ma caratterizzato da tensioni e linee di faglia interne che lo rendono un terreno di sconto tra diverse assiologie e cosmologie. Particolare attenzione verrà riservata allo spazio urbano come spazio elettivo del Cultural heritage e al cosiddetto dissonant heritage.

L'esame consiste in un colloquio orale volto ad accertare le preparazione della studentessa/studente.

Gli appelli (due per sessione di esame) avranno luogo nei mesi di gennaio, febbraio, giugno, luglio, settembre, novembre.
