Given the highly interactive feature of this course, ad hoc reading materials and documents will be selected and discussed in the classroom, following the development of learning process.
Basic and necessary readings are as follows:
- Bartram D. & Roe R.A. (2005). Definition and assessment of competences in the context of the European diploma in Psychology. European Psychologist, 10, 93-102.
- Briner R.B., Rousseau D.M. (2011). Evidence-Based I–O Psychology: Not There Yet. Industrial and Organizational Psychology, 4, 3–22.
Metodi didattici
Lectures, in-class exercises, case study, assignment of individual or small group tasks, scientific paper analysis will be used.
Teaching materials will be uploaded on the e-learning platform. Students are strongly encouraged to consult these resources for an active learning.
Students are also expected to come to class prepared to actively take part in discussions, to share and compare personal experiences and opinions, and to ask questions. This is the best way to benefit from the small dimension of the group in the classroom.
Modalità di verifica e valutazione dell'apprendimento
Please take note that there will not be any dedicated final assessment for this module, which is the first part of the whole Orientation Course.
Therefore, learning outputs for this module will be assessed together with the second one
In particular, learning acquisitions made by students in this first part of the course will be demonstrated by their ability to show mastery of the Scientist-Practitioner Model, and to make evident the role played by evidence-based practices, when discussing the contents pertaining to prof. Chiesa's module of this Orientation Course.
