Al termine del corso lo studente è in grado di leggere, comprendere e tradurre in lingua italiana brevi testi di letteratura cinese. Sa inoltre collocare il testo nel relativo contesto storico-culturale.

Conoscenze e abilità da conseguire
Al termine del corso lo studente conosce le linee generali delle vicende e del dibattito critico della letteratura cinese contemporanea (in traduzione), ed è in grado di evidenziare le connessioni tra i principali eventi storici e le trasformazioni a livello culturale e letterario.
Contenuti
Si prenderanno in esame linguaggi, pratiche discorsive e rilevanti fenomeni culturali della Cina contemporanea: linguaggi narrativi, della fotografia, della cinematografia, dell'arte, della poesia. Cultura popolare, studi di genere e studi culturali verranno inoltre introdotti contestualmente all'analisi dei linguaggi presi in esame.
Gli studenti che non hanno seguito il corso di storia o di sociologia dei paesi asiatici sono pregati di leggere prima del corso un testo introduttivo sulla Cina contemporanea.
Il testo consigliato è:
Samarani G., La Cina contemporanea. Dalla fine dell'Impero ad oggi. Torino, Einaudi, 2017.
Sarà cura del docente presentare in power-point i punti e gli aspetti più salienti di ogni singolo linguaggio e dell'impatto di questo sulla letteratura cinese e compito dello studente sviluppare l'aspetto del corso (il linguaggio) che più suscita il suo interesse.
