Learning outcomes

At the end of the course:

Students will know the clinical-care best practices for deaf children and people.

Students will be able to choose and apply evaluation tools, define and plan treatment goals, measure clinical outcomes.

Students will be able to create the best clinical setting for the patient.

Classification of hearing loss (degree of damage)

Classification of hearing loss and communicative development

Taking charge of the deaf child: the interprofessional team

Quantitative and qualitative evaluation for different ages 

Main approaches and methods for rehabilitation

Speech therapy for deaf adults  CI

Speech therapy for deaf children

Deafness in clinical complexity

Counseling: interventions with family, school, and educational  encounters
