The vehicles are generally characterised by suspension systems that allow the connection between the chassis and the wheel. These vehicles guarantee generally an optimal compromise between the comfort of the passengers and their safety. The growing use of electric vehicles, which have more stringent constraints in terms of dimensions and component weights, requires more performing suspension systems and vehicle axles. On the other hand, the possibility of having solutions with motors integrated into the wheels allows the development of suspension systems that are significantly different from those of traditional vehicles.
The invention consists of a suspension system for electric vehicles characterized by flexural composite springs, a composite torsion bar, a connection element between springs and bar. The system allows the rapid adjustment of the vehicle attitude and the obtaining of different dynamic characteristics by varying the ratio between the stiffness of the springs and the torsion bar. The technology is also characterised by the possibility to mantain running even in the event of a break in one of the elastic elements.
Applications:
- Electric vehicles
Advantages:
- Weight reduction and space saving
- Optimization of aerodynamic performance
- Reduction of vehicle consumption
- Possibility of easily varying the vehicle's attitude
- High vehicle safety
