Learning outcomes

The course aims to explain the function of policy-making and planning in tourism by providing key concepts of tourism economics and governance of tourist destinations, and comparing and contrasting different national approaches of tourist policies. By the end of the course, students should be able to apply the basic tools of tourism policy and planning to a variety of international tourist destinations as well as to analyse situations and evaluate feasible solutions

Assessment methods

The final mark is based on a written exam and group works. The ranges of grades are as follows:

  • <18 not sufficient;
  • 18-23 sufficient;
  • 24-27 good;
  • 28-30 very good;
  • 30 Lode excellent.
