Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to provide the knowledges and the methodologies to study productive processes.and to select, on the basis of technical- economical and environmental considerations, the best between alternatives. The course will examine for some outstanding chemical processes the reasons that have caused the adopted solutions so that the designer, in other situation, can adopt the best alternative.
Course contents
Fluent spoken and written Italian is necessary : all the lectures and tutorials will be in Italian.
Module 1 ( 3 credits )
Pre-requisites : base mathematics, knowledge of principal apparatuses of process industry.

Teaching methods
In modulus 1, the different arguments will be explainedand and many
examples will be performed to determine some parameters and
indexes. The lessons are frontal.
In modulus 2 the previously quoted chemical processes will be
explained showing the thermodinamical, operating, economical,
environmental reasons that have caused the adopted solutions.
The lessons are frontal.
Assessment methods
Achievment will be assessed by the mens of a final exam.
Modulus 1 : The examination is a written session which consists of a test, duration about two hours, open books . The student must replay to questions on
arguments treated during class lessons.
Modulus 2 : The examination is an oral session on arguments treated during class lessons.
To obtain a passing grade, students are required to demonstrate a sufficient knowledge of the key concepts.Higher grades will be awarded to students who will demonstrate an organic understanding of the subject and will be able of a proper presentation .
