Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student has acquired a first set of intermediate level skills in the Persian language; He knows how to deepen the relevant literature and issues related to it, referring to the most updated bibliography.

Course contents

Linguistic part

(Students in the 31201-Persian Literature 2-9cfu teaching can only follow the literary part of the program and prepare a textbook on a literary topic, after having agreed with the teacher.

Teaching students 31221 - Persian language and Persian language 2-9cfu, can only follow the linguistic part of the program and prepare a textbook translating literary texts from Persian to Italian and vice versa, following agreements with the teacher.)

The course aims to pursue what has been acquired in the first year and to continue to deepen grammatical and syntactic aspects of neopersan.

The contents of the course will be developed on contemporary contemporary Persian currently spoken in Iran, Tajikistan and Afghanistan (Persian Darī).
The texts used for the study of Farsì (Persian) will offer students the tools they need to learn the literary and literary language and spoken language.

Readings and translations of simple texts, suitable for the intermediate level of the Persian study, will be accompanied by exercises concerning the spelling and grammar analysis of the Persian language. In addition, students will be guided to learning grammar rules by reading and using everyday conversation texts.

Literary part

The second part of the course involves the introduction of the great linguistic changes that have characterized Iran's language and literary culture since the mid-nineteenth century. The study of the literary events that will give birth to the new cultural reality of the country will be accompanied by reflections on the great political and social transformations of Iran and the surrounding countries.

The analysis of the works of the early protagonists of contemporary literature will provide the cognitive tools for understanding the Persian literary production of the early twentieth century and its peculiarities.

At the end of the course, the original language reading of some poetic texts by modern authors will allow students to be able to grasp, though to a limited extent, the stylistic modalities of recent Persian literature.

Teaching methods

Lectures, film viewing, or Persian-language documentaries.

Assessment methods

Verification involves an oral examination in which the student is required to read, translate and identify grammatical and syntactic aspects of one or more Persian passages already taught during the course. It is planned to speak in a language on a topic chosen by the student.
(Teaching students 31201-Persian Literature 2-9cfu will have to prepare for one of the texts of in-depth reading and reading text. They will also have to write a short essay on a literary theme as they like, after having agreed with the teacher.
Teaching students 31221 - Persian language and Persian language 2-9cfu, will have to take a written language exam (grammar exercises, text analysis) and prepare a textbook translating literary texts from persian to italian and vice versa, following agreements with the teacher .)

Grades of assessment
The achievement by the student of an organic vision of the themes dealt with in the lesson and the knowledge provided for the joint discipline of their use both linguistic and literary, the demonstration of the possession of an expressive mastery and of specific language will be evaluated with marks of excellence.
A mnemonic knowledge of matter and synthesis and analysis skills articulated in a correct, but not always appropriate, language will lead to discrete evaluations.
Inappropriate formative and / or inappropriate language, though in a context of minimal knowledge of the exam material, will lead to vows that will not suffice.
Lack of training, inappropriate language, lack of orientation within the bibliographic materials provided by the course will be evaluated negatively.


Important
For non-attendants of 9cfu (31201; 31221), compulsory study of an in-depth text, two reading texts (see bobliography) and writing a textbook (language or literature) is mandatory in agreement with the teacher.
For non-attendants of the 6cfu (75684; 67030) lessons it is compulsory to study an in-depth text, a reading text (see bibliography) and a textbook (translation of the texts from Persian to Italian and vice versa) With the teacher.
However, non-attendants will have to contact the teacher at the beginning of the course and agree on the specific training terms for each course and the verification method.

Teaching tools

Will be made available to students texts of daily conversation and texts photocopied handouts translated from unpublished material about specific topics covered during the course and on the works of contemporary authors Persian not translated in Italian.
