Learning outcomes

Students will acquire:

- knowlege on education, both theorerical and empirical, related to training methodologies, vocational training, evaluation and assessment in different educational fields. In particular, these competences concerns the planning of educational programs, multimedia education and e-learning;

- knowledge on evaluation of process, products, and systems.

Course contents

The course aims to provide the main knowledge for the design and evaluation of training interventions within the intervention fields of the health professions for prevention. The objectives therefore include the acquisition of knowledge relating to:


- research models and perspectives of research in education and training;


- theories and methods of planning and assessment in education (planning phases of a training intervention and planning strategies);


- defining purposes, aims and goals of a project;


- identification of the most appropriate methods and strategies for goal achievement.

Teaching methods

The training activity requires the active involvement of female students and students; in particular, there will be lectures followed by small group exercises, oral preparation and presentation of project-works.

Assessment methods

Written examination related to a training design.

The following teaching tool will be adopted during the lessons:

  • PowerPoint presentations,
  • Exercises on the main topics explored during the lessons,
  • Videos and Printed articles,
  • Practical tools that could be adopted in practical situations.
