Learning outcomes
At the end of this course the student acquires knowledges about: - basic pharmacology and toxicology for the prevention and maintenance of health in relation to environment and lifestyles, across the lifespan; - the various relationship issues between drug use and objective and subjective factors of wellness and health as well as life quality.

Natural and built environment affecting human health
Hazard identification, risk perception, risk and safety management
DRUG USE in INDIVIDUALS
How drugs act in individuals
Factors modifying the effects of drugs: age, gender, life style and diseases
Pharmacological and toxicological aspects of drug abuse
QUALITY of LIFE (QoL) and WELL-BEING of INDIVIDUALS
Concepts of QoL, objective and subjective Well-being
Quantitative measurement: human development index, world happiness report and other measures
