Learning outcomes
The course provides students with financial instruments to analyze the innovative forms of finance available to social firms, via venture capital philanthropy. By the end of the course, students know how to value innovative investments, as well as how to attract the attention of venture philanthropist with proper business plans.
Course contents
The course focuses on Innovative Finance, Impact Investing, and Venture Philanthropy.
The course is paper based, considering the most recent literature on venture philanthropy and impact investing
The course has an applied nature and emphasizes case discussions, business plan simulations, exercises in laboratory.

The course is paper based (considering the most recent papers discussed by the professor in class).
Teaching methods
Business case simulation.
Class discussions are welcome.
Assessment methods
Written report of 30-40 pages, about a theme connected to the various European call for projects (selected by the professor).
