Learning outcomes

Describe the approach to taking a complete clinical history. Discuss the role of the medical interview and physical examination in clinical diagnosis. Perform the main elements of the medical interview and physical examination. Analyze clinical records, charts and laboratory results. Interpret and write a clinical report.

Course contents

1) Medical interview

2) Physical examination and perception of abnormal features

3) Discussion of clinical history, and physical and laboratory findings

1) Bed side teaching

2) Job shadowing

Assessment methods

1) Assessment of attendance (at least five days/week)

         a) patient interview
