Learning outcomes

The laboratory is designed to train students on some practical aspects. The activity is designed to allow students to apply specialized techniques in the management of disciplinary contents. The laboratories will deal with the themes related to one or more the areas of learning: computer science; literary, linguistic, historical/cultural and related to the arts in the digital context; transversal: economics, law and communication.

Course contents

The laboratory aims to introduce the basics of project management and software engineering applied to the DH domain. Theoretical and methodological approaches will be put into practice through a set of practical activities and case studies including those suggested by students. The objective is to give second-year students the very basic skills to successfully manage their final project and those they will meet once graduated.

Teaching methods

Frontal lessons and practical sessions on case studies.

Assessment methods

Students will be required to prepare a project on a topic of their choice through which they will demonstrate that they have acquired the methodologies for successfully managing a software process.

Teaching tools

Teaching materials will be provided during classes and published on Virtuale.

Activities will be organized in a fully equipped classroom (with PCs).
