Learning outcomes

At the end of the module, the student possesses knowledge related to taking care of the person/family in the context of priority health problems in the medical area. He/she identifies, plans and evaluates nursing care interventions and collaborates with other professionals in diagnostic-therapeutic-care pathways.

Course contents

Application of the Nursing Care Process to people with coronary vasculopathy.
Application of the Nursing Care Process to people with structural, infectious and inflammatory heart disease.
Application of the Nursing Care Process to people with complications secondary to heart disease.
Application of the Nursing Care Process to people with HIV infection and AIDS.
Application of the Nursing Care Process to people with bowel and rectal disease.
Application of the Nursing Care Process to people with liver disease.
Application of the Nursing Care Process to people with diabetes mellitus.
Application of the Nursing Care Process to people with kidney disease.
Application of the Nursing Care Process to people with cerebrovascular disorders.
Application of the Nursing Care Process to people with lower airway diseases , chest diseases and chronic respiratory diseases.

WRITTEN EXAM:

(to enter the exam, it is mandatory to send to the lecturer (seven days before the roll call):
a clinical case-relevant to a Priority Health Problem of the medical area-;
Gordon's Functional Models must be used for data collection;
for diagnostic framing, on the other hand, one must use Carpenito's Bifocal Model.
