Course contents

The teaching will deal with the main issues related to the pedagogical coordination of children's educational services, analyzing this function that, in Italy as in Europe, is gaining more and more importance and centrality.

The teaching will therefore focus on the role of the pedagogical coordinator in relation to the management of children's services, analyzing its various functions in support of pedagogical and educational planning, equipé work and supervision of educational groups, but also to the dimensions of system governance. The frame of reference is that established by the integrated system 0-6 years and the pedagogical guidelines 0-6 years required in application of Decree Law 65/17.

In this sense, the course offers an overview of the types of childcare services and focuses on the issues of pedagogical coordination of childcare services and the issues of supporting the professionalization of educational teams.

Specifically, the following topics will be analyzed

- The Italian legislation on the integrated system: from Law 65/2017 to the Pedagogical Guidelines 0-6.

- Educational continuity in the national guidelines: a comparison between the 0-3 guidelines and the national curriculum directions.

- Coordination of early childhood education services: role and functions of the pedagogical coordinator.

- Territorial pedagogical coordination: networking.

- Support for the professionalization of educational staff: in-service training.

- Working in equipé between training and supervision: ways and tools of pedagogical reflexivity.
