Learning outcomes

At the end of the training activities the student possesses knowledge that integrates and completes the contents of the teachings on innovative welfare/educational/organizational aspects and/or of specific and/or particular interest.

Course contents

Exploring contents of particular interest and relevance for clinical practice and related to the theoretical contents foreseen for the year of the course. As far as the SEMINARS are concerned, the topics covered are:

  • Dialysis and haemodialysis
  • Artificial feeding
  • Elements of diet therapy in the main acute and chronic pathologies (diabetes, cirrhosis, IRC, heart disease)
  • Infectious disease nurse, safety of isolation paths
  • Nursing responsibility in antibiotic therapy
  • Blood transfusion
  • History of nursing
  • Cross-cultural models
  • Transitional care: nursing discharge planning
  • Hospice and palliative care

Seminars are 75% compulsory.

The topics covered are the subject of the Nursing Internship Exam 2

Meetings in the classroom with Experts

The activities were carried out using the following methods:

- Frontal lesson

- Videos 

- Expert-led discussion of example cases or situations

Assessment methods

The contents of the seminars will be evaluated in terms of suitability as required by the Regulations of the Study Program and are part of the student's preparation.

On the contents of the seminars, the student will have to answer specific multiple-choice questions included in the suitability test of Laboratory 2.

All topics covered during the year may be the subject of the internship exam.
