Learning outcomes

At the end of the module, the student is able to recognize the risks for operators and patients in the various places of care and apply the knowledge to ensure safety

Course contents

Art.37 del D.lgs 81/2008

  • Healthcare workplaces - specific characteristics;

  • Manual handling of loads and patients;

  • Physical risks (noise, vibrations, microclimate, etc.);

  • Chemical risk (individual and collective protection);

  • Medicinal gases in cylinders;

  • Work-related stress, psychosocial distress, third party violence and gender differences;

  • Instructions for the management of emergencies in the workplaces of the Ausl Romagna;

  • Biological risk, health surveillance, vaccinations, working mothers, night work;

  • Risks of ionizing radiation and non-ionizing radiation.

  • Notes on clinical risk and on the techniques for involving patients and their caregivers in promoting safety in hospital and home settings; use of the procedures / health documentation in use within the Ausl Romagna and of the company tools to work safely.

Teaching methods

Interactive lesson with the use of clinical microcases for the application of theory in nursing practice.

Assessment methods

Access to the final exam is subject to attendance at 100% of the hours, proven by signing the attendance register.

Verification of knowledge will be assessed through a written test.
