Learning outcomes

Knowledge and Skills to be achieved

At the end of the laboratory the students will be able to: work independently applying the techniques learnt to pursue their own objectives or within projects designed by institutions; discuss with other people how to use and document the techniques studied; apply the specific knowledge acquired to different types of services; evaluate limits and qualities of the technical instruments learnt ; transfer the technical knowledge gained to different contexts and integrate it with personal changes and additions. 

Course contents

HELPING RELATIONSHIP AND STREET WORK

In this workshop we will examine issues regarding marginalization and social exclusion related to various categories of individuals. This will be achieved through the style of work of the “Street University” characterized by fundamental choices that can be summarized in some key words:

reception and demand analysis, necessary to plan and create social paths

harm reduction and formulation of “low threshold” interventions

continuity of relationships which are able to operate in the long term, the group, intended as a place for the educational process and as a method of intervention, the “political “perspective in which to place the “technical” dimension of the interventions.
