75839 - Seminar (1) (G-C)

Academic Year 2023/2024

  • Teaching Mode: Traditional lectures
  • Campus: Bologna
  • Corso: First cycle degree programme (L) in Humanities (cod. 8850)

Learning outcomes

At the end of the seminar (activity closely related to the objectives of the degree course) the student acquires specific skills and notions to deal with linguistic and/or philological and/or literary and/or historical and/or artistic issues and problems.

Course contents

The goal of the seminar is to introduce students to some of the most important authors in the current literary panorama, both in terms of prose and poetry. The seminar, which includes 15 lessons (9 with authors and 6 'internal' discussion lessons on the books read) takes place in synergy with the creative writing workshop held by Professor Nicola Bonazzi for the Master's Degree in Italian Studies, Literary Cultures European Studies and Linguistic Sciences (5 lessons in common) and with the international events of "hospitable thought" MENS-A, a festival conceived by professor Beatrice Balsamo of the APUN association. Participation in a MENS-A meeting, which takes place between September and October in various cities of the Emilia-Romagna, counts as a 'bonus' in case of absence from one of the 15 meetings of the seminar. In fact, the seminar provides for mandatory attendance of at least 12 out of 15 meetings, and the certificate of participation in a MENS-A meeting is valid for the purpose of calculating the minimum attendance.

The maximum number of participants is 27. The maximum number of registrations was reached on August 9th and therefore registrations are closed.

The activity is considered passed with the sending to the teacher, at the end of the seminar (at least 80% of the meetings attended), a story on a free theme between 30,000 and 40,000 characters, where the student will put the lessons learned. The calendar includes five lessojns "in shared classes" with the writing laboratory of prof. Bonazzi.
