Learning outcomes

At the end of the internship, the student: - knows the professional role of the social worker - is able to analyze and read the needs of the territory, having take part in a structure /organization located in a specific reality - reaches cognitive, relational skills and techniques learned in the fieldwork, having observed, understood and elaborate the social work content in its various forms - is able to direct her/his motivational decisions in the main areas of intervention of social services

Course contents

During the internship the student develops the ability to analyze the territory and the context of the service. It also evaluates and recognizes the different questions of needs, the assumptions and objectives of work and integrations between various services. Furthermore, it is an opportunity for the student to experiment with her/his relational and technical skills through field experience through observation, understanding and elaboration of the tools, techniques, principles and values of the profession.

Assessment methods

The outcome of the Internship and its evaluation will be determined by the Internship Commission on the basis of:
- A student's report on the activity carried out;
- A report of the Supervisor of the internship to be presented to the Tutor of the University at least 20 days before the end of the Internship
