Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student acquires basic knowledge on the use of the main radiological investigation techniques. It is able to read diagnostic imaging investigations (traditional radiology, CT, ultrasound, MRI) related to alterations of physiotherapy interest in some body districts.
Course contents
Diagnostic skills in IMAGING, operating principles of the different methods: Conventional Radiology (analog and digital), Bone Densitometry, Angiography, Computed Tomography (CT), Ultrasound, Magnetic Resonance (MRI) and their specific peculiarities. For Nuclear Medicine: Positron Emission Scintigraphy and Tomography (PET CT).
Radiological findings characteristic of degenerative, inflammatory and traumatic pathology highlighted in Conventional Radiology and CT, correlated by signs and indirect indications found in MRI and Ultrasound.
Basic techniques for the study of the spine in its entirety and lower limbs under load (Scannogramma).
Fundamental concepts of radiation protection and diagnostic appropriateness based on the principles of justification, optimization and evaluation of the "cost benefit"...
