Learning outcomes

At the end of the module, the student possesses the ability to apply knowledge and understanding in relation to the skills of the midwife / or both in the field of birth analgesia and neonatal resuscitation, knowing how to use a reasoned intervention scheme for the latter, where the observation of the newborn represents the triggering point of the resuscitation maneuvers.

Course contents

Describe the importance and impact of a close mother-child bond on their health and well-being.

Know the adaptation of the newborn (pre-term and term) to extra-uterine life, fetal circulation. Primary and secondary apnea. The basics of neonatal resuscitation.
