During the course we will describe the main theorical models of learning psychology, from behaviorism to cognitive modularism, with particular reference to the models by Fodor and Karmiloff-Smith. We will then analyze the main learning disabilities, with the related evaluation and intervention techniques. In particular, we will present the specific learning disabilites with a genetic, biological or environmental causes, disabilities of language, of reading-writing, discalculia, difficulties in problem solving, understanding, attention deficit, hyperactivity and some genetic syndromes that harm learning.
Particular stress will be on the autistic spectrum disorders given the educational and social relevance of these pathologies
